LetzPlay is a process of discovery where players can quickly and easily see and understand the key ideas of community currencies, and how they differ from those of conventional money.

It’s not a game about winning or losing – indeed, it’s not a competition at all. It’s just a point-and-click introduction to the elementary ideas.

Players buy and sell game items (from a list – no thinking required) and watch how the money moves. As the money comes and goes, the game shows you:

• how conventional and community money are different,

• what comes from that difference,

• the value of using both forms of money, and

  – the big prize –

• how to use community money systems without risk.

This Thursday's meeting on January 13th will take place in the Grandview-Woodland Village (Drive area) at 2111 E 1st Ave from 6pm-8pm. This is in the second house east of Lakewood on 1st Ave, in the garden level suite with entrance at the back of the house. It will likely be at Jordan's place near you - just confirming, as his home may be too small if we get a good response. Will know for sure in a day of two.

Should be a pretty good meeting.
