Please tell us which areas of Transition interest you. For example: growing more food/urban agriculture, relocalizing our economy/local currency, Permaculture, transit, energy efficient buildings, the arts, urban homesteading, preserving seed diversity, placemaking, potlucks, outreach, organizing events, community-building, having fun while saving the world, or...
PermaFlow Landscape Design is a landscaping company based in the coastal temperate rainforest region known as Vancouver British Columbia.

Our aim is to offer creative solutions to urban landscapes in transition to resilient community food systems. Permaflow provides practical ways to implement permaculture systems in the backyards, community gardens and neglected or degraded landscapes of Vancouver.

What will this do ?

A move towards creating sustainable human habitats in an urban context.

- Growing of abundance: Fruits, berries, nuts, vegetables & herbs.

- Buzzing and Clucking: Beehives & mobile chicken tractors.

Community development: Shared land access and restoration of degraded or unused land into permaculture community gardens.

Resilient communities moving into the period of Peak Oil and turbulent economic conditions.

Increased habitat for urban critters: Migratory and resident birds, animals, insects and aquatic life.

Creation of top soil.

Conservation and efficient use of water resources.

Integrated garden systems which are low maintenance and provide multiple yields for human consumption.
There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)
