Comment by Ross Moster on March 20, 2011 at 1:52pm Thanks, Lisa, and welcome Mary! I totally agree -- block parties are one of the best ways I know to meet neighbours and make cool connections...and they're so easy to do!
I'll post some updates from my end shortly.
Comment by Lisa Slakov on March 19, 2011 at 7:51pm Ross, great avenue for letting people know about block parties and Kits Car Free Block Parties Day- June 19th. Always such an incredible way for people to meet and make long term connections with neighbours you otherwise often don't even know exist!
I think we most urgently need immediate (quite small) website updates and someone to exercise a bit of creativity and create cards with our website that we can hand out to people as we go through our daily travels.

$ OK for cards to hand out.
We'll be included on insurance.

If you have to leave your village, how will you get where you want to go? By car? Preferably not, both for your wallet and the earth’s sake. This category is for all discussions relating to how we all get around.

A human right? After food, most feel shelter is the most important necessity. A place of shelter is also the start of a community. This category is for all things relating to shelter, housing, affordable housing, homes, renewable heating systems, green buildings, heritage, and our built environment in general.
