Event Description

What: A quiet but proximate place from which to watch the fireworks tonight, with a radio playing the simulcast theme music of Spain's show entitled "Odyssey," and some deserty snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.

Location: just west of the Second Beach outdoor pool on a grassy picnic area at the water's edge.

Time: Anytime after 8:30, and look for a blue tarp.  It is plenty light enough to find us anytime before the show at 10:00, and not crowded at all in that area (at least in comparison to the throngs at First Beach).

The best way to arrive (and leave) is by bike, and there is a largely crowd-free and safe escape by bike via the eastern side of downtown.  Walking and transit are other possible options.

Come one, come all.

If you have to leave your village, how will you get where you want to go? By car? Preferably not, both for your wallet and the earth’s sake. This category is for all discussions relating to how we all get around.

Housing

A human right? After food, most feel shelter is the most important necessity. A place of shelter is also the start of a community. This category is for all things relating to shelter, housing, affordable housing, homes, renewable heating systems, green buildings, heritage, and our built environment in general.
