Consider what like-minded groups we could add to this site, both internal and external affinity groups. I started to do this already, but have put in just a few. We need to populate this site with so much activity and networking connections that it becomes a "solution space" for all things community. For instance, on our site farm-garden people could join NOWBC (an external affinity group) but also join our Urban Ag or Community Gardens action groups for research and organizing in these specific areas. VV can use all three groups to reach out to/tap into members with specific interests or expertise.

Seriously, join any groups already there that interest you, but don't go crazy or some day you will be buried by too many messages on too many topics. Also, think of more internal groups to add, and just add them; later we can think of a protocol for what is appropriate, but right now we are in an anarchy stage of development. It is easy to fix any mistakes, and few people will notice right now.

Then consider what groups could be added to our site both to advertise their activities (there is a place for a description and URL) and to imply support for our activities. In some cases, maybe all, we should ask a director of these external groups if it would be ok to list them on our site; this is formally called a cross-linking agreement.
