Sharon Figueira said… Hi Steve I have a great opportunity to get some bees on Cortes island where I live at the weekends, I have a hive all set up but no bee suit or smoker. The bee guy (Reinhardt) won't give me the bees unless I get this equipment - which I am happy to do as I am a beginner!) I leave at 6.30 am on Friday to go to Cortes, have a full time job, etc etc..do you know of anywhere within driving distance that I can get this equipment off the shelf?

Two exciting things to share. One is that North Vancouver now has it's own Village!
We finally have the North Shore Beekeeping Club up and running. Along with Rics web-site is which includes info on the club - www.beefriendly.ca
Check it out. On it, we have a Bee Club page with a listing for the new bee club e-mail.

If you have to leave your village, how will you get where you want to go? By car? Preferably not, both for your wallet and the earth’s sake. This category is for all discussions relating to how we all get around.
