In which Vancouver neighbourhood or other community do you live?
Mount Pleasant
Please tell us which areas of Transition interest you. For example: growing more food/urban agriculture, relocalizing our economy/local currency, Permaculture, transit, energy efficient buildings, the arts, urban homesteading, preserving seed diversity, placemaking, potlucks, outreach, organizing events, community-building, having fun while saving the world, or...
recycling, gardening, bicycling, music & arts, go, community building, political work, music
There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)

What would you like to see improved in Vancouver or in your community regarding sustainability or resiliency? Do you have an idea for a new Transition project or activity?

The Main Street Neighbourhood village is holding our monthly potluck dinner and presentation tonight (Tuesday, 7 June) at Little Mountain Neighbourhood House on Main Street at 24th Ave (adjacent to the library).  Dinner and a free seed and food plant seedling giveaway start at 6:00 and then an urban gardening presentation and discussion begins at 7 for about an hour.  Come and stay as long as you want, or just drop by at any time.

See the full event description here.

Hi Earle,
Good, you got me looking at this site again. I think the way I will engage is with the real people I have met first. I know it is probably a really efficient way to organize and communicate, but I don't want to spend too much time in front of a computer... I heard of a drinking water benefit for Nicaragua coming in January and I am looking for water songs with the possiblilty of performing. Any thoughts?
cheers,
Sheila

Hi Earle, glad to see you are on board with VV. I was involved in the formation of the group but these days my focus has shifted north to Cortes Island... www.may-s-garden.blogspot.com. However, I'm in town for the winter and looking for gigs... hint hint. Andy
