It is great to have you finally on board. The first 300 hundred members--myself included--have just doubled in force with this one addition. Mr. Food and a highly intelligent community learner you are, and we look forward to learning from you and helping you expand your reach and impact on Vancouver.
As you can see, we are just beginning to build this on-line community for Village Vancouver, and organize our extensive activities more openly and collaboratively through this site. Please feel free to contribute to a discussion, attend or even enter a new event, pitch into a working group, or even join a Village.
Also, please update your home page ("My Page" above) with some brief comments about your interests or a short bio. This will help us all connect with people with similar interests in sustainability, or other activities. Maybe find a nice photo to upload, too. :-)
Grandview-Woodland already has a local village, the basic organizing element of Village Vancouver, and there are regular potlucks and an asset mapping project going on already. Check out the village page and contribute what you know.
Meanwhile, come to any event posted on our Events page, connect with other Village Vancouver members, and see what you can learn and do. I know I'll see you again soon, and most likely at the city's upcoming NFN meeting.
