Potluck, Seed Sharing, and Movie Night

Join Main St. Village Vancouver as we discuss the issues of peak oil and climate change and what we can do on Main St. to create a resilient community.

We will once again have our Main Street Seed Library available for "borrowing."  We have many dozens of edibles from beans and peas to tomatoes and zucchini, all for free to a good home.  All we ask is that you are willing to report if and how they grew, and consider sharing some of the produce at a potluck later this summer.  We also have some beneficial flower seeds.

The movie will be the 50-minute-long Power of Community, a positive story about surviving and thriving through the specter of Peak Oil.  How would Vancouver look if we were forced to live on 10% of the oil we currently consume?  If Cuba can do it, so can we.

We'll have a brief discussion afterwards.

Potluck at 6:00, movie starting at 6:40, and seed sharing all evening.  Come by anytime, and please remember to sign in.
