Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities

Hi everyone,
I'm not going to do an epic large batch like last time, but my neighbor's truck can probably fit about 6 bales and he's going to go get some in th next couple of weeks - so there'll probably be 3 bales or so available whenever that happens.

In the mean time, I'm TOTALLY OUT and the coop needs to be cleaned. Does anyone have a flake or two I can use to get me by?

Alyssa,
I've been hoarding 2 bales since the fall - come by and get what you need. They're in the backyard and we're around off and on. You'll need to cut the strings.

I've got some extra if you like - I only use it in the nest boxes which don't get that dirty, so I don't go through it very fast. I use pine shavings in the coop itself.

I'm in & out tomorrow (Tuesday), and Wed. Also around tonight.

Thanks Kristi, I got some from Jean that will hopefully hold me until my neighbor can go for a load. (My coop/nesting box is all kind of one... I guess that's what you end up with when building from alley scraps!)

I have a source of mixed wood shavings (from a workshop) that are free; let me know if you're interested.

We don't know where we're going yet. Probably out to the valley. Last time I got it from Delta, and had it delivered.

Hi Alyssa,

We'd take a bale if that's still a possibility!

Thanks!

I'll bug him and see if we can get it this weekend or early next week. Surya you're first on the list for any extra bales. We think we can fit 6, the neighbor wants 2 (?) for the garden, and I need one and I think Duncan needs one too.

A bale would be great (it's actually for my garden AND chickens)...anything I can do to help?
