Britannia Community Centre is pleased to announce and host the 17th annual Stone Soup Festival, a celebration of food, art, environment and community, including a farmers market, food vendors, local artists, community groups, talks and workshops, live music, children’s activities, free soup and more!

Saturday, May 12, 2012 Noon-5pm

Features Of This Year’s Festival Include:

The Urban Weaver Project:
Drop-In Workshop with artist/weavers Sharon Kallis, Debra Sparrow and Todd DeVries. Explore simple weaving techniques with English Ivy. Suitable for families with children 6 yrs and up with adult assistance. Time: Noon-5pm
Last Start Time 4pm Location: Family Activity Room

“Growing Up On The Prairies: Ecology, Food and Community,” a talk by Lori Weidenhammer Time: 1pm Location: Britannia Library

“Just Enough” Performance by Maggie Winston of the Lost and Found Puppet Company Time: 2pm Location: West Kids Area

“Sauerkraut Demonstration” by Ian Marcuse
3pm Britannia Site

Dixie Stars: The Stone Soup Story
Storytelling and Music
