Beginning and more advanced workshops. (Follows Seedy Saturday.) RSVP here, and then register with Strahcona Community Centre.

Seed Saving – full workshop  (10 am-2:30 pm)
Attend the morning “starter package” work shop and afternoon intermediate class in one day!

                     Robin Wheeler, Edible Landscapes (Robin is ill and can't                                   participate; her material will be covered by Maria and Mojave.)

Fee: $45.00. Subsidies are available to low income residents of Vancouver with a Leisure Access Card. Seed Saving – the Starter Package (10 am-noon)
For beginners to intermediates, the morning session will focus on seed saving basics and theory. We will include a brief demonstration and hands-on examples. Also includes a package of Red Russian Kale seeds to
grow out and save.

Seed Saving Intermediate Class (1-2:30 pm)
The afternoon session is designed to build on and deepen our seed knowledge. Mojave will bring background history and meaning to our group with stories, and then we will discuss issues of better technique building, record keeping, selection and seed collectives. And bring your questions! We will gather at  least one question per person through a beginning round, and organize and triage to address key areas. We will cover isolation distance and techniques, and persevering  genetic diversity.
