Event Description

It can be easy to forget about the wealth of food that grows all around us. In this Village Vancouver workshop and walk, Lori Snyder from the Metis Nation will discuss how to identify and harvest wild, edible, and medicinal plants in an ethical way. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Rain or shine. Children welcome to join if accompanied by a caregiver and able to participate in a classroom setting and outdoor walk. We'll have the community Seed Library present -- pick up some free seeds for your garden, swap or donate seeds.  

We'll have a seed library there - if you come a few minutes early, you can get some free seeds for your garden, or swap or donate seeds.

Register by 11 am Monday, March 26th: #147416 Strathcona Community Centre 604.713.1838 or Native Edibles (https://ca.apm.activecommunities.com/vancouver/Activity_Search/native-edibles-talk-and-walk/143446) or in person. $13Sliding scale fee ($0 - $13) for anyone enrolled in Strathcona Subsidy (when registering by phone or in-person). Subsidies are also available with a Leisure Access Card.
