Event Description

In this Village Vancouver workshop with Alyssa Kohlman, we'll create a tangy fermented relish - perfect for spicing up grilled foods. You'll learn the basics of lacto-fermenting vegetables and go home with a jar or two of relish to finish fermenting. Please bring two wide-mouth 250ml jars, cutting board, knife, and a large bowl if you're able to, and wear clothes you don't mind preparing food in. The workshop welcomes adults and families with children 10 years and older. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Register by November 28: #80978 SCC 604.713.1838 or Relishes (https://ca.apm.activecommunities.com/vancouver/Activity_Search/fermented-dill-zucchini-and-onion-relishes/75986) or in person). Registration fees are on a sliding scale from $0 to $25. For sliding scale registration, please register over the phone (604-713-1838) or in person (Strathcona Community Centre, 601 Keefer Street).
