There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)
Yes
What would you like to see improved in Vancouver or in your community regarding sustainability or resiliency? Do you have an idea for a new Transition project or activity?
More vegetable gardens downtown and celebration of local foods, arts and traditional culture. People more aware of energy consumption and their impact on the planet, health and environmental/financial implicaitons of eating local fruits and vegetables. Greater sense of community pride and connection through events. Rise in local trade and expertise. Better use of water - both harvesting and consumption.

    Hi Frances,

Welcome to Village Vancouver and to West End Transition Village! We're very involved in getting the new WE Nerighbourhood Food Network going, and we've also scheduled some WE VIllage activities (gardening and other workshops, and a Meetup) in the Fall, tho I'm thinking maybe it would also be nice to have a summer gathering before that.

If you have any ideas, please let me know.

    Cheers,

    Ross
