There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)
i am working toward running my own small backyard garden sharing project. i am keeping it as efficient as i can and only growing in spaces that i can walk to. i am looking to add bee hives as soon as possible and am always on the look out for new spaces to tend.
What would you like to see improved in Vancouver or in your community regarding sustainability or resiliency? Do you have an idea for a new Transition project or activity?
more urban gardens, more neighborhood gardens, encouraging more people to stop mowing/watering lawns and shurbs and grow some food!

    Hey Leah

So I made a booboo, and we have to change the location of the potluck / meeting this Wednesday (Jan 25th).  The meeting will still take place at 6:30 pm, but it will be at the Edmonds Community Centre - 7282 Edmonds Street, Burnaby.

This is nice and close to the Edmonds Skytrain station, and easy walk.  We will be in the downstairs room it sounds like, and there will be lots of room for the whole crowd (lets hope we get lots of folks).

I have been waiting to speak with a city planner about community gardens, and some other groups seem interested in what we are doing which is great, I am looking forward to getting some ideas off the ground soon.

If you can please RSVP to the event on village so I can get an idea of who will be there, find the event on the events page!

Thanks and hope to see you on Wednesday, 6:30pm at the Edmonds Community Centre!
