Examining all aspects of planning/action to make ourselves and communities more resillient to emergencies, be they short (earthquake) or longer term (climate change, peak oil).
The devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy is overwhelming and provides a real life example of how important community response is in reestablishing services to meet basic human needs.
