Event Description

Do you want to start saving your own seeds? In this workshop, Mel Sylvestre will provide you with the knowledge needed to understand the basic principles behind seed saving and the skills necessary to begin seed saving. It will also allow you to develop an understanding of basic plants reproduction biology and to learn the vocabulary of the seed saving world. The theory will be complemented by hands-on techniques and demonstrations.

We’ll have the Marpole-Oakridge Neighbourhood Food Network Seed Library there - you can get some free seeds for your garden or swap or donate some seeds. M-ONFN is sponsored by Village Vancouver.To join the food network, click here.
