Village Vancouver ElderGreens presents a workshop with Rhiannon Johnson at Aberthau Garden. Mid to late spring and early summer are busy times in the garden, and there are a lot of plants you can seed directly. Learn what to plant now and how to plant properly on your balcony, in your yard, or in your community garden plot. You'll gain hands on experience and come away with the knowledge to plant, grow, and harvest vegetables such as peas, beans, greens, beets, the onion family, root veggies, herbs, tomatoes, and carrots starting now!
We'll have the Pt. Grey Village Community Seed Library present and you'll be able to take, swap or donate seeds.
Rain or shine. $0-10 suggested donation. Free for Seniors (50 and over) and children under 10.Register here http://www.villagevancouver.ca/events/early-summer-gardening-low-cost-workshop-free-for-seniors-1 or to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Organized and led by seniors, VV ElderGreens brings seniors, youth and others together to share food & gardening skills and wisdom through workshops and other activities, including helping to organize the Open House. All ages welcome, please contact us if you're interested in getting involved.
