*Milk and Water Kefir (low cost workshop; FREE for seniors)

In this Village Vancouver ElderGreens workshop with Alyssa Kohlman, you'll learn how to culture your own fermented tonic milk kefir (a sour yogurt-like beverage), followed by water kefir (a home-made fruit "soda pop"). You'll get to sample finished product, and receive printed instructions for both milk and water kefir on how to make them at home.

We'll have the fieldhouse community seed library present - you can get some free seeds for your garden or swap or donate some seeds.

Registration required. Limited space. (Walk-ins OK if room.) $0-10 suggested donation, Free for Seniors (50 and over). Milk and Water kefir grains optionally available for $5 each. Our healthy, local food residency at the Strathcona Park Field House offers a variety of affordable food and community based programming at the fieldhouse, Strathcona Community Centre, and elsewhere.
