Located behind the Mansion, just off of NW Marine Dr, and hosted by Village Vancouver, the garden includes VV’s Demonstration Permaculture Garden, the WPG Preschool Garden and art/garden projects by artists-in-residence LocoMotoArt: Laura Lee Coles and Rob Scharein. Emphasizing permaculture design elements, we offer fun, inclusive social, educational, culinary and cultural activities for community members. Enjoy mid week evening cooking, fermenting, preserving and DIY demonstrations, including sauerkraut, canning, herbal vinegars and beeswax salves, gardening workshops like growing garlic, the seed savers club, and Saturday morning gardening. For details about events or to sign up for workshops visit Village Vancouver (www.villagevancouver.ca) or email Ross Moster at ross@villagevancouver.ca.

We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the unceded territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the Xwméthkwyiem (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

The Harvest Celebration is part of Village Vancouver's Building Community Food Security and Resilience Project. This project is made possible by the BC Ministry of Agriculture's Grow Local program. We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia through the Ministry of Agriculture.

The Harvest Celebration is also supported in part by a Canada 150 grant from Vancouver Foundation, Community Foundations of Canada, and the Government of Canada, administered by Kits Neighbourhood House.
