Event Description

In this Village Vancouver and West End Urban Garden Club with Dr. Yael Stav, we'll review the opportunities for, and benefits of, growing food in vertical gardens in an urban setting. We'll discuss the different systems and technologies available for vertical gardening, and talk about the principles of setting up a successful vertical food garden on fences, walls, and balconies, including watering, weight, light and plant choice considerations. We'll have a community seed library there - pick up some free seeds for your garden, or swap or donate seeds

Cost: $10. 50% discount available with Leisure Access Card.

Registration required: #116765 through WECC 604.257.8333 or in person, or Vancouver Recreation (https://ca.apm.activecommunities.com/vancouver/Activity_Search/intro-to-vertical-gardening/111787). .
