Event Description

Gain hands on training and expert instruction with this new 36-hour certificate program. With this series of courses, emphasis is placed on hands-on learning. You will have ample opportunity to spend time in the hives, building confidence and learning to manage bees.

This program will teach best practices to beginners, reinvigorate experienced beekeepers, and offer opportunities to take hive management and practices to higher levels. It is also ideal for those interested in learning more about pollination and pollinators. Developed and taught by experts in the field, the curriculum is both current and relevant.

Courses are held evenings and weekends, and can be taken individually.
Courses Include:
• Getting Started in Beekeeping
• Spring Management and Hive Inspections
• Integrated Pest Management
• Summer Management and Honey Harvesting
• Bee Conservation and Bee Garden Design
• Winterizing Your Hive

No need to register for the info session. Just show up.
