Thanks, Ross! I'm still pretty new to VV (just learned about it at the CoDev film fest a few weeks ago) and am trying to figure out how to use the website. I haven't seen how to accept the group invite but hopefully I'll get there soon. ;) I'm a total newbie to this world and am looking forward to becoming more involved!
Awesome - its an honor to be here - Robin has talked so highly of you for years - what a beautiful initiative this web platform is, reflecting an awesome and powerful real world community!
Hi Ross! So glad you got to try some of the kefir. I've got more if Mary hasn't given you some to make your own. :) I've also got a kombucha scoby or two that can be passed on if you're interested.
Unfortunately I'm not going to make the potluck this Sunday though! I'm on a train down to California to visit my family for the holidays and will be somewhere along the coast of southern California when you guys are meeting. So sorry to miss out, but I'll be back after the holidays and hopefully we can organize something....stone soup?
Ross, after I talked to you, I visited the website but don't know how to sign up for the potluck. If you know, please tell me ASAP so that I can do it.
Thanks!
See you tonignt!

I'm already committed but next time!

Thanks for the clarification, Ross. I wish I were better at maneuvering around these kind of web sites but I get lost trying to find my way. Technology is definitely not my strong point. LOL! But I'm happy to learn. Really looking forward to more meet-ups and workshops. Too bad I missed the class on growing food on your balcony. I didn't see the post until after the event. If you ever need a volunteer to help set up or clean-up, just give me a call or send me an email, okay, Ross? Thanks again for helping Vancouverites to become skilled in resiliency. :-) Karen
Yes that would be great- Id love to hear about what's currently going on and ways I could get involved! Im free most weekdays at the moment so just let me know a good time :-)
Hi Ross, Glad to be friends :-) Happy to see other good folks on the list, Karen Hodgson, for example! I'm off again, lucky me, kayaking in the Charlottes, so there won't be much action from me right now, but I'm very happy to report that my HHFs, Philip Be'ers new venture, (check 'em out at http://www.homeharvestfarms.com) are doing well, so there's good news on the urban agriculture and sustainable food fronts!
Happy to have you as a friend. I'm keeping my crossed re chafer beetle project and have (with Randy's help) installed a large L shaped raised bed on my front lawn. Just started putting in some transplants and seeds. Rain last night/this morning probably drowned them! But I sure am getting to know my neighbours!!
It's Jill again, we were going to talk about signing on to the WIld Salmon Circle initiative. You said we could talk when you get back, but that was some time ago. Do you want to call me, 604 662-7561 after the holidays, or could you give me a number and time when I could reach you?
