Oh shoot, I will not be able to make it on the 29th after all! "Need" to go to Pender Island for the long weekend with my children and we'll leave that night -- tough life, I know! Still, I am very keen to attend some "Green Cleaning" gatherings...my husband and I run an eco-store on W Broadway (Gecko Green Living) so I love to get new ideas and "spread the word".

Hi Mary,

I can definitely share some more kefir with you. If you're not using them I think that they can be chilled in the fridge (for up to a month at least) or frozen or dried (although, I've never personally tried either of these two options).

Unfortunately I've been out of town for the last 5 weeks, so my kefir have been dormant and need to be revived. I wish I could bring something to Car Free Day in Kits, but I just don't have anything right now. I'll let you know when there are some grains to share though!
