Village Vancouver

Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities

I'm exhibiting as part of Artists in Our Midst "art walk" on the westside for the second time this year.
Last year, I coordinated 3 other artists and had our work in the common room of my co-op. This year I decided to just do it in my apartment. I'm told that I'll get fewer people - people like to go to the group shows and also you have to go in the apartment and up a flight of stairs, which will deter some folks - mobility issues, energy or just feels too private.
I'm not nearly ready and have a busy few days with other things going on, but progress is being made.
I'm glad I made the decision to do it in the apartment. Figuring out how to cover up books and circumscribe the showing area has been difficult to figure out, but I'm expecting my apartment will be tidier at Saturday @ 11am than it is now. And that's a good thing.
I've added some photos of my mixed media work and also the "hallway silent auction" to this page.
Drop me a note if you're coming by- or just pop in. May 1 & May 2 11-6.
