If you have to leave your village, how will you get where you want to go? By car? Preferably not, both for your wallet and the earth’s sake. This category is for all discussions relating to how we all get around.

A human right? After food, most feel shelter is the most important necessity. A place of shelter is also the start of a community. This category is for all things relating to shelter, housing, affordable housing, homes, renewable heating systems, green buildings, heritage, and our built environment in general.

Welcome to Kits Village! You can now access content on the Kits page to see what's going on in our village...gardening collaborative, seed saving workshop, upcoming potluck, and so on. We're people powered - so we encourage you to participate in the things that interest you - and to create activities of your own.
P.S. We're encouraging anyone who has interests around food (growing, food security, sharing, and so on) to join the Food Network - and, if you're up for it, to post on your home page your interests and "wants," and skills and resources, if any, related to food.
Cheers,
Ross
Welcome to Village Vancouver! I noticed that you may live in Kitsilano, so I'd like to extend an invitation to join Kits Transition Village as well. (And VVers who live in neighbourhoods where there isn't a village yet are welcome to join a neighbouring village.)
Cheers,
Ross
