There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)
I work as an consultant for environmental management so have experience with environmental law. I like to grow my own veggies and am into canning/preserving and cooking with whole foods. I also have experience working with school-age kids and would be keen to get involved with some kids/youth programs

Welcome to the Village! Please also join the Main Street Neighbourhood of Village Vancovuer, our fully local incarnation of the larger umbrella organization. We've got a busy June coming up, with our Main Street potluck and Bee Workshop coming up on Tuesday evening, June 4, all ages invited. Less than two weeks later is Car Free Day on Main Street, and the Village is creating a true village, with chickens, bees, urban vegetables, a seed-library-building workshop, solar panels, sustainability library and common room, Seedstock local currency, etc. Join us on Main Street at 13th Avenue; we'll be hard to miss. If you'd like either to volunteer or set up a small demonstration of anything you are passionate about, just email us at email@example.com. Randy
