straw bales in vancouver?

hi all - we're due for another straw bale and i wanted to see if any local access point has sprung up for local bales? i'd rather pay a few more bucks that head out to cloverdale...but if the fraser valley run is inevitable, i could probably get 3 bales if anyone wants to go in on it. keep me posted.as an fyi, our polish just laid last week, mid-january! she was the last of four, all of whom started last august. we were starting to wonder... thanks! tamara See More

Hi Tamara,

Welcome to the Waste group. We've been inactive (for one thing, no convenor), but I've been thinking about scheduling a potluck/meeting where members could meet one another, explore interests, and see what emerges. Will keep you posted.

Cedar Cottage seed savers is off to a good start; the 2nd meeting is coming up in early Feb, and there's now a blog. http://ccseedsavers.wordpress.com/.

You can reach them on the Seed Savers page (Robin, Cylia, Tara, Amy, Peter, Vicky, etc.) or at a rel="nofollow">ccseedsavingcollective@gmail.com>.

I hope things are going well with you.

Cheers,
Ross
