Please tell us which areas of Transition interest you. For example: growing more food/urban agriculture, relocalizing our economy/local currency, Permaculture, transit, energy efficient buildings, the arts, urban homesteading, preserving seed diversity, placemaking, potlucks, outreach, organizing events, community-building, having fun while saving the world, or...
All of the above our community garden website http://elgincommunitygarden.wordpress.com/

There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)
Don't have an "Expertise" but would be willing to contribute time
What would you like to see improved in Vancouver or in your community regarding sustainability or resiliency? Do you have an idea for a new Transition project or activity?

Steve, I'm looking for a way to contact you - we spoke briefly at your community garden hives several months ago. I'm looking to see if I can try your oxalic vaporizer.

Hi Steve I have a great opportunity to get some bees on Cortes island where I live at the weekends, I have a hive all set up but no bee suit or smoker. The bee guy (Reinhardt) won't give me the bees unless I get this equipment - which I am happy to do as I am a beginner!) I leave at 6.30 am on Friday to go to Cortes, have a full time job, etc etc..do you know of anywhere within driving distance that I can get this equipment off the shelf?

 Hi Steve,

Two exciting things to share. One is that North Vancouver now has it's own Village!

We finally have the North Shore Beekeeping Club up and running. Along with Rics web-site is which includes info on the club - www.beefriendly.ca

Check it out.  On it, we have a Bee Club page with a listing for the new bee club e-mail.

Amazing Pictures! That's great to already know you a little bit.

I'll be sure to keep everyone up to date on the New North Shore Group.

Talk to you soon.
