Informal sewing group

What I'm interested in....
My current interests include:
* involvement in an urban farming initiative in East Vancouver
* an East Vancouver chicken co-op
* learning about beekeeping
In the case of the first two, I don't have the space, but am definitely interested in making time to share work with other folks to make projects happen. I have a vehicle and can haul stuff around.
Additionally - for skill-sharing.... I have a lot of experience canning various foods, and will happily give workshops or one-on-one sessions in trade for seeds, plants, work-sharing etc.

Thanks for all your work! Sorry to have missed the Jan 31st potluck...I am now joining the Hastings-Sunrise village & hope to get more collaboration happening. Had a great meeting with Ross and others at Kiwassa who are working together on our "food philosophy".

I am also interested in top bar hives and what to learn more about them- so far I have checked out a friend's top bar hive near commercial. The get together for people who are interested in beekeeping will likely be the second or third week in June (I hope to confirm this by the middle of May and will let you know and will post it on the site).

Hastings does not have a local village formed yet, but your ranks are growing with now 7 Village Vancouver members, including Amy, Brian, Emily, Jasmine, Jacqui, and James.
