The group photo will appear in full page ads in the Sun and Province calling on Christy Clark to Stand up for BC and the planet. We're raising money for the ads through bake sales, dance parties and small donations to show that people care. It's going to be a fast and fun hour, and it will send a powerful message.Coming down? Vancouver Stop Coal pledge action with Bill McKibben Noon Saturday April 9

Hello all, this may be of interest to some in this group.   Cheers, Kevin We've all heard the news: melting ice caps, extreme weather, drought, fires, climate refugees, conflict.... global warming is happening, and if we don't work hard to stop it now, the results will be catastrophic.   It's time for our 2nd Stop Coal pledge action, in Vancouver, at noon on Saturday April 9th.  Coal exports are gearing up to be the next big carbon battle ground, and Vancouver is on the front lines.  If you are…See More

Hi, I notice you list Kitsilano as your neighbourhood. Maybe you'd like to join the Kitsilano Transition Village on VV. We're planning a potluck for April 11. (Currently we have 10 members on KTV - and I know there's at least 20-30 people on the VV site who live in our area - It would be nice to meet - at least online, if not in person! - Mary maryinvancouver@gmail.com
