Hi Justin,

I am from the Local Economy Network, and I am contacting you because on Feb. 13th I am planning a workshop on community currencies together with LETS and Community Way founder Michael Linton. I was just speaking to Ann Pacey who suggested getting in touch with you about possibly booking a locale in which to hold this presentation at UBC. Please let me know if you think this is possible. We were thinking of holding the workshop between about 1pm-4pm on Sunday, Feb. 13th, and we should aim for 30-50 participants.

Please feel free to give me a call at 778-866-4451 to discuss. Thanks!

Jordan

Hi Justin
We're holding our first Dunbar movie night tomorrow at the St. Philips Church Fireside on 27th and Highbury, from 7 to 9. The film is The Turning Point - which takes an inspiring look at our potential to create a life-sustaining society as we face the twin challenges of Peak Oil and Climate Change.
We'll have time for socializing and discussion after the movie so I hope you can make it. Donation suggested.
Your support would be greatly appreciated. We want to show the church and the Dunbar community that Transition has great grassroots support.
Thanks Ann

Hi Justin,
I'm in the FNH program at UBC and I'm doing a research project on Village Vancouver I was wondering if it would be possible to either sit down with you or email you some questions I have specifically about the new UBC initiative.
Thanks!

Hi Justin
We've just set up our Dunbar Neighbourhood Transition group (see group pull down, second page), and look forward to getting a really dynamic group rolling. Will be organizing a get together soon. Hope you join.
Kind regards. Ann

Transportation

If you have to leave your village, how will you get where you want to go? By car? Preferably not, both for your wallet and the earth’s sake. This category is for all discussions relating to how we all get around.

Housing

A human right? After food, most feel shelter is the most important necessity. A place of shelter is also the start of a community. This category is for all things relating to shelter, housing, affordable housing, homes, renewable heating systems, green buildings, heritage, and our built environment in general.
