About Me

An academic union rep looking to build stronger local communities. Interests include food security, public space, sustainability, and neighbourhood and civic engagement. More of music, food, laughter and things that grow. Less of isolation, concrete, and privatization of space.

Hi! yes, I did the EYA beekeeping apprenticeship this past year and am looking for ways to put it into practice. I think I may be helping out with the bees at a local art & activism centre in east van, and anything else that comes up. That's so cool that you'll have bees moving in :)... definitely let me know if I can help in any way, I'm pretty passionate about it!

Maybe the evening of the 15th or 19th; not sure yet. Are you at Folk Fest? Maybe there? (VV has a booth.)

Hi Brian,

I saw you comment on Megan's page re: the 24th. Is this confirmed now? I can help with this. Yes, let's talk about what can be done. And about other ideas for advancing HS Village -- I think there's lots of people who will plug in if approached.

Cheers,
Ross

Welcome, Brian!

As you can see, we are just beginning to build an on-line community for Village Vancouver, and organize our extensive activities more openly and collaboratively through this site. Please feel free to contribute to a discussion, attend or even enter a new event, join a working group, or even form a Village.

Hastings does not have a local village formed yet, but your ranks are growing with now 7 Village Vancouver members, including Amy, Emily, Jasmine, Jacqui, James, and Megan.

Meanwhile, come to any event posted on our Events page, connect with other Village Vancouver members, and see what you can learn and do.

Also, please update your home page ("My Page" on your navigation bar above) with some brief comments about your interests or a short bio. This will help us all connect with people with similar interests in sustainability, transition, or other activities.

I hope to see you at a city-wide VV event soon.

Randy
