Hi chicken keepers, we have up to 4 hens to find a new home for. They are all about 2 years old, should still have some laying life ahead of them but only 1 is laying for us right now and we need to get some younger birds to keep us in eggs.
No obvious reason they aren't laying - not moulting or broody, eating layer mash, pretty healthy, no stress from frequent predators or anything. We think it may be that 1 bird is being a bully, so hopefully with a change in enviro/flock, they'll resume.

We have 1 white silkie, 1 buff orpington, 1 rhode island red-type, and 1 barred rock (who is still laying).

We will let them go as a group, in pairs, or indiv. $15 each or $10 each if you take 3 or more. We can deliver them if you live in Van. We are hoping to rehome them rather than see them go in a soup pot, as they are good birds and should still have a few years of egg laying on them.

Free Coop ... We've enjoyed fresh eggs for several years now, but the season is over for now and we'd love to pass along our coop. It was built to house up to six ... all you have to do is dismantle it enough to get it out and to your place.
