Grow Your Own Microgreens

Microgreens are tasty and nutritious greens that can be eaten as a fresh snack or added to salads, smoothies, soups and more. In this Village Vancouver workshop with Dr. Yael Stav, you'll learn how to grow your own trays of microgreens at home year-round. We'll look at the difference between sprouts and microgreens, review the many possible seeds that can be used for starting microgreens, and investigate troubleshooting common problems. You'll prepare your own microgreen tray to take home! We'll have a community seed library present - pick up some free seeds, swap or donate seeds.

Registration required: $16/person (includes materials). To reserve your spot please send etransfer for payment to farmtoplate@jfsvancouver.ca.

This workshop is run in partnership with Farm-to-Plate Marketplace and Jewish Family Services. If you need assistance in paying the participation fee, please contact farmtoplate@jfsvancouver.ca or call (236) 521-8263 to access a subsidy to cover your expenses.  We will also be running our weekly "Pay What You Can Virtual Farmers Market" at this time.  Participants are encouraged to place an order on the Farm-to-Plate Marketplace website (https://farmtoplatemarketplace.com/) for pick up from JFS Vancouver.
