*Traditional Sauerkraut Making - Rescheduled to Sun, Apr 17 4-6:30 pm

Part of VV's As We Know It food and culture project.

Come learn how to make your own traditional, fermented sauerkraut with Alyssa Kohlman. Fermented vegetables have many health benefits, including live enzymes, readily available vitamins and minerals, and probiotics -- and sauerkraut and other fermented vegetables are suitable for everyone!  If possible, each person should bring a large knife, cutting board, large bowl, and a 500ml-size wide-mouth mason jar with lid. Participants will go home with a jar of sauerkraut to ferment at home.,

Today's event includes a short discussion about traditional and contemporary foods with As We Know It artist Yi Stropky.

VV will have a seed library present - you can get some free seeds for your garden or swap or donate some seeds.

Suggested donation: $15 ($7 cost of materials included), cash only. Limit 8 participants. Register here or to ross@villagevancouver.ca by April 9.
