Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
Through a budding partnership with longtime zero waste advocate, Zero Waste Vancouver (ZWV), VV applies community organizing and asset development to waste reduction at all levels.
We are looking to open ZWV chapters in every Village.
Location: Vancouver, BC

Latest Activity: Feb 15, 2012
Longtime Zero Waste Vancouver leader and solid-waste activist Helen Spiegelman is the convenor of this group. She has temporarily moved to Montreal (fall-spring 2011-2012), so we are looking for community leaders to present some ideas and invite others to help them out.
Some of our Zero Waste activities:
Kits Village Plastic Recycling Depot
StyroFree Challenge (member project)
Neighbourhood Backyard Composting Pilot (participation Summer 2011)
Mending and Repairing workshop

Dear friends at NSV ~
I salute you for the great work you guys have been doing on neighbourhood planning - particularly around land-use and zoning. I'm writing to ask you to be part of a conversation on the evening of Wednesday, March 2nd to talk about something different – but closely related.
Best regards,
Helen Spiegelman
