Closest place to buy organic feed?
Does anyone know of a place to buy organic layer feed in Vancouver or near to it? Also bales of shavings? Petsmart was trying to order some in for me, but they had no luck. Or are there enough interested people to get together and order in bulk? Maybe have it delivered to someone's garage? It seems totally unsustainable to be driving an hour to go buy the stuff.

Hi! Mark's Pet Stop on Commercial Drive stocks organic layer mash. You can call ahead to make sure they have it in stock 604 255-4844. They are great folks and will also bring in other stuff that you need - e.g . I ordered my bag of Diatomaceous Earth from them.

Mark's Pet Stop on Commercial Drive close to 3rd Avenue has organic layer feed. Also Mr. Pet's on Commercial Drive will order it in for you, both Marks and Mr. Pets sell it for around $20.00 or so for a very large bag. Mr. Pet's has bales of pine shavings for 11.95.Penny

Homesteaders Emporium definitely has organic feed along with a lot of other stuff for backyard coops. They're great!
