Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
Hello past, present, and future chicken owners.
I talked to a few of you last month about getting together over some egg salad, quiche, chicken, or non-chicken dishes, and generally enjoying an August evening before summer goes away. It took me a while to pin down a date, but I've decided to go with Tuesday, August 21st, 6:30 pm at Garden Park (Garden and E. 3rd). There is no real goal of this, other than to see others in this burgeoning chicken subculture, and share some good food.
Bring a plate, cutlery, and a cup, and of course a dish to share. Maybe bring an instrument if you play one. I doubt this will go very late (9 or 9:30) since it's mid-week. Anyway, I hope you can all make it. If you want to rsvp, just do so in the comment section by hinting at the the of dish you'll bring (sweet, savory, salad, Pie?) so we can have a good variety. To get the ball rolling, I'll be cooking up something sweet.
If the weather is not cooperating, I'll post something about rescheduling, or give me a call to confirm. 604-329-3863.
And please let others know who may not be in the coop co-ops group but are fowl friends.

If you have to leave your village, how will you get where you want to go? By car? Preferably not, both for your wallet and the earth’s sake. This category is for all discussions relating to how we all get around.

A human right? After food, most feel shelter is the most important necessity. A place of shelter is also the start of a community. This category is for all things relating to shelter, housing, affordable housing, homes, renewable heating systems, green buildings, heritage, and our built environment in general.
