I did apply. I hope to start a climate circle in May, funded or not, so long as I can get about a dozen participants. Here's a link to the 8-week climate circle guidelines:

Are you interested?

Robin, sorry for the delay. I missed the deadline for the grant (on purpose this year because of commitments with the business I run). Did you apply? I am curious to hear more about the climate circle.

Hi Jane--

I don't think anyone is intentionally keeping this group private -- we just don't yet know how to use the web site! ;)

There was a small gathering of interested families at my house on Sat Mar 27, over Earth Hour. All families came from within 2-3 blocks of my house, (nr Fleming & 21st). I would like to start a climate circle, following Guy Dauncey's suggested plan. Are you interested?

I plan to post more to this site over the couple of weeks. I hope we can get some activity going!

As for the Small Grant application, I was going to write one up for the climate circle group; but if you have an idea for a plant event, go for it!

Hi fellow members!

Just a few things... I am curious why this group is being kept private? Wouldn't we get more members if people could read about us?

Also, did you know there is a Neighbourhood Small Grant available for our area $50-500. The app is due March 31! A bit tight. But maybe a great way to get some funds for a neighbourhood event? One idea would be a seed/ plant swap event? Thoughts?
