Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
Hi all,
Our 1st gathering will be on Saturday, Feb 25th from 9;30-10:30 am at my home. It will be on the short side, because Van Dusen Seedy Saturday is that day from 10-2, and we'll head out there afterwards.
We've been taking the seed library to different events this month (Westside small grants/Kits House monthly potluck, Nicole Foss talk, Richard Heinberg talk, CoDev World Community film fest, etc.) - we're currently borrowing Main St. Village's box and putting our seeds in it - and getting a really good response.
Topics: Updates: seeds, books, other resources. Kits Village Seed Collective and seed bank: getting started/logistics/how to's. Using the seed library. Container for the seed library. Buying seeds at Seedy Saturday for the library and seed bank. Invite to table at North Van Seedy Saturday. Other suggestions?
Please RSVP on the event post for the address.
Looking forward to it!
Ross

If you have to leave your village, how will you get where you want to go? By car? Preferably not, both for your wallet and the earth’s sake. This category is for all discussions relating to how we all get around.

A human right? After food, most feel shelter is the most important necessity. A place of shelter is also the start of a community. This category is for all things relating to shelter, housing, affordable housing, homes, renewable heating systems, green buildings, heritage, and our built environment in general.
