Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
Interesting article about transitioning to a lower energy (80% less) city by 2050, prepared by a UBC professor and students
Food for thought.
This is yet another poorly researched work by a landscape designer posing as an energy expert. Density in Vancouver (as in any region) may sometimes improve transportation efficiency, but it sets up the region for an explosion in consumption, particularly in energy. Don't believe everything mainstream academics tell you.
