Hello everyone!

Recently I took part in the Marpole Community Plan meeting to discuss parks & public spaces, transportation and gardens. It was a fascinating meeting, with some great ideas and insights. One thing that I forgot to bring up was the fact that no Farmer's Market occurs in Marpole.
I brought it up once with the director of the Vancouver Farmer's Markets, but she thinks there isn't enough demand for a market to be successful in the Marpole area. I disagree, but I would like to know what other people think, and where, if one were to happen, would an ideal location for it be?

What do you guys & gals think? Do we have enough density & demand for a successful market? If so, where should it be held? One thought I had was to have a market in either Eburne Park or Marpole Park. They're both pretty far south, but they have the benefit of being surrounded by apartment buildings - so probably are located in the middle of the highest density in the area. The other advantage for both parks is that they are both located very close to SW Marine Dr, making them easily accessible from transit.

Anyway, I'd like to hear from others, so go ahead - weigh in!
Cheers,
