Event Description

This course is ideal for individuals who work in teams for idea generation, problem solving and design and offers practical advice and exercises on how to increase both personal creativity, and the creative output of teams. The theories and exercises can be applied to anything from creating a company human resources policy, to brainstorming new product and service offerings, to the conception of complex projects involving multiple disciplines. Expect to learn:

• Facilitation skills and techniques
• How to create an environment that promotes creativity
• Brainstorming, and how to trigger new ideas

This course has a focus on sustainability but crosses the boundaries of discipline and industry.

Instructor: BRENDA MARTENS is an Integrated Design Process (IDP) facilitator and a Canada Green Building Council faculty member for LEED®. She has over 13 years of experience in applied IDP, and is the co-founder and past principal of Recollective Consulting, one of the top green building companies in Canada.

Apr 8-May 13, 2014. 6 sessions Tue 6:00pm-9:00pm, UBC Robson Square $325.00
