This class, designed by Kinesiologists and Occupational Therapists, is an evidence-based program to improve both physical and brain conditioning.
Research shows that physical exercise has positive effects on brain function by improving the flow of oxygen to the brain, releasing hormones, and providing a nourishing environment for the growth of brain cells. In addition, new research in the area of brain plasticity suggests that exercise also helps the brain to grow new neuronal connections. This class, designed by Kinesiologists and Occupational Therapists, is an evidence-based program to improve both physical and brain conditioning by combining physical movement and exertion with coordination, rhythm, strategy, creativity, and dual task/executive function exercises. Bring your own yoga or exercise mat, a towel and wear comfortable clothing.
