Event Description

You are invited to join Mayor Gregor Robertson for a special telephone town hall on affordable housing and homelessness on Sunday October 30th at 5:30 PM.

Gregor Robertson and the Vision Vancouver Team have made affordable housing and homelessness a top priority and we will continue to take real action on housing issues in Vancouver.

We want to hear from you, answer your questions, and talk about Vision Vancouver’s plans to tackle growing unaffordability in Vancouver, ending street homelessness by 2015, and defend the rights of renters.

It’s a great opportunity to listen, ask questions and get involved during this live event

Thank you for all who participated!! As I understand the City council has re-zoned the Cambie corridor for high rise. They have now basically solidified that Heather is going to be served up the developers with 85 Heather Place families displaced at Metro Vancouver whim! Do you know who you are voting for November 19th? I do!!Randy Helten runs for mayor with Neighbourhoods for a Sustainable V...

Is the municipal government partnering with an non-profit to tell you where you can live? Well they are planning to tell 85 families at Heather Place where to go in the next year and have already displaced over 270 families out of their homes near Little Mountain Neighbourhood House! Get on the horn and help me tell these elected officials where they can go! Sign on! And have your vote count! 15 minutes to go!

At Heather Place, our children attend our local schools, walk safely through our tree lined street s to parks and have parents who work near by so that they are there for their children when they come home. For a single parent who can't afford a car and who wishes to commute by bicycle, it is a necessity for my family to live, work, learn and play all in a safe and clean neighborhood, the only neighbourhood my child knows as home.

Personally, I will only elect a city council who supports this mandate, as such RANDY HELTEN has my vote,http://www.straight.com/ar ticle-492391/vancouver/watchdog-runs-mayor

YOUR VOTE COUNTS!! You are invited to join Mayor Gregor Robertson for a special telephone town hall on affordable housing and homelessness on Sunday October 30th at 5:30 PM.

Please call in tonight and vote to protect and preserve affordable housing within Vancouver. Ask City Council work to renovate Heather Place and their other inner city housing developments. Considering the cost of new housing, it is a more sustainable and viable plan that supports our biodiversity.

"Biodiversifyme": "Collective Actualization", is the call to our "Collective Consciousness" to engage our "Social Citizenship" and ACTualize our humanitarian potential (Biodiversifyme, Gilchrist, 2010; Durkiem, 1858–1917; Bartlett & O'Connor, 2010).
