From the oldest inhabited Capital city in the world “Damascus”, comes Hayat and her daughter Carmen - who have recently started their own Syrian catering business. They are offering a Syrian cooking class and introducing you to an ancient and healthy grain that is new to Canada - called freekeh. You will learn how to cook it, and then eat it, along with Hayat’s famous hummus.
