Event Description

Healthy soil is a vibrant community. Learn how to be an ally, not an enemy of your soil. We'll also cover some key techniques for promoting and protecting your annual and perennial food plants, as well as the ones that just look pretty, from disease and pests.

Grant Watson operates Grant's Gourmet Gardens (www.gourmetgardens.ca), an edible landscaping business in Greater Vancouver, and has been involved inlocal organic agriculture since 1994. He serves on the certification committee of the Biodynamic Agriculture Society of BC, is chair of the Oak Street Farmers' Market Committee and is a shareholder and Glen Valley Organic farm Co-op. He has been teaching food gardening to children and adults since 2003.
