Event Description

This workshop is now full.

Learn to make "pickled" (lacto-fermented) beets and carrots with Alyssa Kohlman from Fermentoring in this hand-on workshop from Village Vancouver ElderGreens at the Strathcona Park Field House. We'll explore both self brined and added brine methods of vegetable fermentation. This is a raw, vegan, paleo-friendly process, and participants will go home with a jar of beets, carrots, or a mixture, with a customized spice mix. Please bring a 500ml-size wide-mouth mason jar with lid if you're able to.

Free for Seniors (50 & over). $0-10 sliding scale, plus $7 materials fee for everyone else.

Register here or with ross@villagevancouver.ca by August 7th.
